Many projects have been undertaken over the last ten years:
Dune Care at Lighthouse Beach assisting a local group
Red Shield Appeal annually
Clean up Australia Day
Organisation of a week of activities for Camp Quality at Bonny Hills.
Construction and raffle of four Gypsy caravan cubby houses(around 1500 hours each). The raffles drawn at another major project, Australia Day on Town Green, fully organised and manned by the club.
Have organised all Port Macquarie Australia Day activities since the year 2000.
Have since built and raffled 3 other cubbies.
Initiated an annual Bas Sines Award to Cadet of the Year for TS Rushcutter.
Carried out renovations to the Independent Development and Further Education unit building.
Supplied 24 hour catering needs for the last two Cancer Council Relays for Life in Port Macquarie.
Participated in Youth Exchange, both incoming and outgoing.
Sponsored children for Kids to the Inland each year.
Assisted with a new playground for Port Macquarie Primary School Support unit.
Catering for Port Macquarie long Course triathlon.
Catering five days of breakfast and lunch for the State Fire Brigade Championships in Port Macquarie in 2004 and 2006.
Much of the club’s income is derived from BBQ catering and from renting out a portable stage which was given to the club by Port Macquarie Panthers. Many BBQ’s result in all proceeds plus extra being donated back to the organisation requesting our help.
Donations of equipment to Tacking Point Surf Club.
Many thousands of dollars in donations to community groups and individuals as well as Lions International and Multiple District Projects.
Assisting Lake Cathie Progress Association with landcare activities including fence repairs, dune protection, bitou bush removal, planting grasses and native plants.
Assisting Lake Cathie Progress Association with organisation of Carols by Candlelight
Youth of the Year –Gordon Wilkes Youth of the Year winner awarded at Club level each year. Hosted the Regional judging in 2006.
Social functions are not forgotten either:
Many interclub games and social nights have been organised and attended by the club.
Fifth Wednesday nights in the month are used to hold social nights such fish and chips on the
